The selected candidate will assist in overseeing HR responsibilities at our Concordia Home Health and Hospice of Bethlen office in Ligonier.
The ideal candidate for this role must have a broad knowledge of human resources functions:
from hiring to onboarding and from employee compensation to evaluation.
The HR Generalist will be responsible for leading training courses, administering employee benefits, leaves of absence, and crafting HR policies.
The successful candidate must possess a knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new/emerging technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field Prior work experience of at least three (3) years candidate recruiting / sourcing Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel programs Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Reliable, independent means of transportation to travel within the company's service area.
Must have a valid driver's license and must drive a car with at least the state minimum required insurance coverage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST POSITION:
Performs job interviews, conducts new hire orientation, maintains/updates new hire forms, assembles new hire onboarding material, processes employee badges, and assists newly hired employees with benefit enrollment Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave of absence; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; training and development Independently handles employment-related inquiries from job applicants, employees, and supervisors.
Engages appropriate members of the management team for complex and/or sensitive matters Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and employment terminations Coordinates CPR/Heart-Saver First Aid (HSFA) program which includes scheduling classes, logging certification cards for personnel files, and the allocation of invoices, where applicable Updates tracking program with recommended/monthly in-services and employee employment requirements such as current driver's license, professional license, CPR/HSFA, annual TB Test, Hepatitis B vaccine, etc Notifies employees when requirements are needed or are about to expire Conducts reference checks, criminal background checks, FBI check (if not a PA resident for two years), Office of the Inspector General (OIG) check, driver and professional license checks on new hires, etc Maintains employee files in both electronic and paper form Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law Performs other duties as assigned EOE Job Type:
